Rabindratirtha is gradually coming up as a cultural hub in the vicinity of Kolkata. Cultural programmes are being regularly held on each Sunday of every month. Rabindratirtha is now proud to announce that it is going to be the venue for the 3rd Kolkata International Children’s Film Festival organized by Sishu Kishore Akademi , an organisation under the aegis of the Department of Information & Cultural Affairs, Government of West Bengal. The inauguration ceremony of the festival this year will take place at Nandan on 20th December in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of West Bengal. The festival will start from 21st December and continue till 28th December.

A two day cultural programme was organized by the Department of Information and Cultural Affairs at Rabindra Tirtha auditorium on 19th and 20th January, 2013. A glimpse of Mech dance, Ranpa dance, Santali and Chhou dance were presented through the programme.
A cultural program at Rabindra Tirtha auditorium was organized on 12th and 13th January, 2013. The students from Rabindra Bharati University participated in the program.
A two-day cultural program as a part of the winter session was organized at the auditorium of Rabindra Tirtha. The program took place on 5th January and 6th January, 2013.
The program got a good amount of success. Rabindra Sangeet, dance and recitation were presented as part of the program.
The audience enjoyed the performance from various artists. Sri Saikat Ali Mollah, Smt. Chandra Mahalanabish, Sri Sk. Mantaj Ali, Smt. Sakila Sultana and Aikkyatan group performed Rabindra Sangeet. Smt. Chaitali Bhattachariya and Sri Hiran Ghoshal performed recitation. There was Bharatnatyam, presented by Smt. Mrinalini Biswas.
The committee that has been formed to look into matters of Rabindra Tirtha at Rajarhat, New Town had organized for Rabindra Tirtha's first week-long programme. The programme was started from September 16, 2012. Cultural programmes took place in the auditorium from 6.30 pm each day.
The cultural program consisted of a group Song by Swati Foundation and a dance drama Noborashe Nari by Chandril Odissi Centre on the opening day on September 16.
On Monday, there was a song performance by Smt Srabani Sen and recitation of Smt Saoli Mitra. There was a Rabindrasangeet performance by Sourendro and Soumyojit on the same day. Sri Sasha Ghosal, Smt Durba Singha Roy Chowdhury and Sri Srikanta Acharya performed Rabindrasangeet. Smt Ratna Mitra had performed recitation on the same day at Rabindra Tirtha on Tuesday Sept 18.
On Wednesday Sept 19, 2012, Mayur Lalit Kala Academy performed Live Narration based performance - Shillong Paharey Amit o Labanya. A Tagore dance drama Shyama was performed by the same group on Sept 19, 2012.
On Thursday Sept 20, 2012, there was again a Rabindrasangeet performance by Smt Rohini Roy Choudhury, Smt Aditi Gupta, Sri Samik Pal, Smt Sreeradha Bandyopadhyay and recitation by Sri Satinath Mukhopadhyay.
On Friday Sept 21, 2012, there was a show of the documentary films on Rabindranath directed by Satyajit Ray. A group song performance by Dakshinee was performed on the same day.
The week long festival will end on Saturday Sept 22, 2012 with dance drama Chitrangada performance by Nritya Upasana directed by Smt Kashmira Samanta.
